February 9th 2015

Monday- Elder E finished packing up his things and got ready for Tuesday.
Tuesday- The zone leaders let me drive the car down to Bakersfield with them. It was a 2 hour car ride. That was fun. Transfers were good. My new companion is Elder J. He came out with me. Once we got back to Palmdale. We shopped for the week and took our new companions to meet bishop.
Wednesday- We went out and contacted two of our investigators. We had some good lessons. We watched the prophet of the restoration with them. It was very powerful.
Thursday- Elder J woke up and got sick. We were supposed to weekly plan but since he was sick and slept all day. I got to read alot of the ensign and a lot of scriptures.
Friday- We had zone training meeting. Then we went and met with a former investigator whose makes christian techno music or something. Then on Sunday we tracted into this lady and set a return appointment for today. So we went and taught her the restoration. It was awesome. We committed her to a baptismal date. It was so nice to get a new investigator because finding is hard right now.
Saturday- We prepared our lesson for elders quorum on Sunday. We did our weekly planning since we couldn't on Thursday and we had a lesson with a less active.
Sunday- We taught Elders quorum and the lesson went really well. We talked about agency and how important it is. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2014/04/your-four-minutes?lang=engi would encourage you to read it this talk. This was in part of our lesson.

I don't have any pictures this week but hopefully i will have some next week

Have a good week

February 2nd 2015

Monday- We had a great PDAY. After we went to dinner at our bishops house. After dinner one of our zone leaders had a investigator who was in the hospital for heart failure. So went to the hospital to see him. When we got there there was this woman who walked up to us before we went back and said "elders my husband needs a blessing" she told us she was in a ward in Lancaster. It was so busy in the hospital and there was so many people there the quietest place was outside. So we wheeled him outside and gave him a blessing. It was such an amazing experience and a testimony builder to me of the importance of being worthy to be able to act with the priesthood at all times. We went back and saw their investigator. We gave him a blessing and talked with him and man was that one of the most spiritual experiences I have had on my mission. So Monday was awesome.

Tuesday- We met with one of our investigators and had a good lesson.

Wednesday- We tried to go see some less active families and some members and leave them with our challenge that we are leaving with the members.

Thursday- We had weekly planning. We got one appointment canceled on us so we went and saw some investigators. We had splits tonight. We went with our bishop and had an awesome lesson.

Friday- We had district meeting. Then we met with an investigator. He is moving soon so we are going to have to drop him. He had a date so hopefully where he moves too he will talk with the missionaries there.

Saturday- We got our transfer calls during studies. I am staying. Elder E is leaving. My new companion is Elder J. I am so excited. We came out together.During lunch i accidentally put a paper towel on a hot stove and it caught fire. So then not thinking right i put it in a Styrofoam plate and then the plate caught fire so i ran it outside and stomped it out. when i came back in i realized there was a pot of water right next to me and a sink. Oops. It was really funny afterwards though. We got a good laugh. This next transfer should be a great one.

Sunday- We had church and then after church Elder C companion Elder H left to Bakersfield. He is now an assistant to the president. So elder C is with us until transfers. We had an awesome dinner then after we went and felt we should go by a less active member. When we got there she was super sick. So we gave her a blessing. After we walked over to an investigators house. While walking we decided we didn't want to go and felt prompted to walk back. As we were walking back we talked to this one lady seemed super interested so we set up a return appointment. Then we walked a little further and found another potential investigator. It was awesome. It was such a good week.

On Monday it was Elder C birthday. So we had a little party for him.

Have a great week everyone.

January 26th 2015

Monday- We played our ping pong tournament. That was super fun. For dinner a member brought up chipotle. After dinner we went and got haircuts from a member in the ward.
Tuesday- We had an awesome day. We tracted in the morning and found a new potential investigator. Later in the night we had a lesson with one of our investigators. We had an awesome lesson. He finally accepted a baptism date. He was being stubborn with not realizing that he has already received his answer that this church was true. After the lesson i looked at my companion and said if he doesn't do it on his own God will compel him like losing his job.
Wednesday- We spent almost the whole day tracting to find a bigger teaching pool. Not much luck. Later that night we had a sweet lesson with some of our other investigators.
Thursday- Weekly planning is always a blast. We had two lessons cancel on us so we were left out to dry that night
Friday- We had district meeting and then spent some time contacting referrals. That night we had our ward chili cook off. All the missionaries in the ward got to be judges. We got to try 12 different chili's. It was filling. That was super fun. Our ward is awesome.
Saturday- We had another lesson with the investigator we met with on Tuesday. Come to find out he got fired from his job. I felt so bad. My companion said next time don't be so bold with what you ask of God. We taught him hope. We hope that he will get a job. He has got a good attitude about it though. We also taught a less active a lesson. We read the talk "approaching the throne of god with confidence". great lesson.
Sunday- We had church and then we went to dinner and visited some members that needed some help.
Great week. We get transfer calls this Sunday. I hope i am staying. I love this area and ward.

Are we all repenting?
Anyone who is repenting. No matter how bad he has been, if he is repenting he is a righteous man.  There is hope for him. And no matter how good he has been all his life, if he is not repenting, he is a wicked man.  The difference is which way you are facing.  The man on the top of the stairs facing down is much worse off than the man on the bottom step who is facing up.  The direction we are facing, that is repentance; and that is what determines whether we are good or bad - Hugh Nibley

Elder E dropped all our pasta :(

Just got a hair cut happy as can be.

Hope you all have a great week.
